I’ve been looking for a move out of MI to DC, NC or CA - all “job magnet” locations where $300K would buy a shoebox that “needs TLC” in a neighborhood that has a very high chance of being a background scene in “CSI” or “The Wire”.

I guess I’ve been spoiled by looking at homes in SF too long; $300K just doesn’t seem wildly expensive any more.

You love living in the “city”. You gotta pay the price. Not very many of us get to have our “dream house”…

Maybe supersleuth.com (or whatever it is, I don’t remember) will hit it big, or Cuban will adopt you both as family, and then you can buy whatever house you want!
