Oh, no, we’re not even close to having it on the market yet. Renters are barely out and now we’re tackling repairs and upgrades long distance so it’ll be a while yet.

I hope so! It’ll be very affordable, I think, and it’s in a good location and in relatively good condition (has newer roof, newer A/C, newer floors throughout, etc.) Keep your fingers crossed!

Agree. It’s “cozy”. A young couple, wanting to be close to the action, but not “too close”, will love a place like that in Maplewood. It’ll sell quickly.

oh, man, that is an adorable house! not in the market, but …. that kind of sweet cottage should sell very easily. i think the market is tougher on the $300,000-$400,000 range houses. we have friends in chicago whose $450,000 Oak Park house has been on the market a year.

yours will sell quicker.

thanks, Al. Well, we’ve done most of the moving…there’s still a bunch of stuff in our basement and garage that we need to come back and sort through. Since we’ve moved around so much here we didn’t take absolutely everything with us, although I suspect that since we haven’t thought about most of it since moving here, it’ll be one big trip to Salvation Army and a small load back to A2.

Good luck, Julia! Selling a house is a painful experience, but at least you aren’t having to stall movement on another home, waiting for the old one to sell. The worst part of selling a house? You’ve done that already.. The moving..
